Enrollment
Are you ready to enroll your special needs child in our Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center? We care for children that are in their infancy all the way up to 21 years of age for up to 12 hours a day.
Additionally, our services can range from medication administration to tube feeding and tracheostomy care, as well as several other medical conditions that require compassionate and skilled medical care.
We will work with you to provide transportation by a licensed NEMT to your child to ease the difficulty that transportation can present to busy parents.

Plan of Care Development
Once a patient is referred to our Center we assist in completing all the requirements for admission. The caretaker will set up an appointment for a tour and sign medical releases. Once these releases are signed, all medical records are requested from any hospitals, primary doctors and subspecialist visits. These records along with information from the caretaker will help the team at Sunshine Kidz create a Plan of Care to follow daily for your child. The Plan of Care consists of medications needed, feeding schedules, interventions and goals for the patient. The facility will review the Plan of Care every 6 months and make any necessary changes.
Transportation
Sunshine Kidz works alongside a contracted transportation company to bring patients from home or school. This service is paid through Medicaid and free of charge for the patient. Each facility has multiple routes to assist with each caregiver’s schedule. Caregivers also have the option to drop off and pick up their children from our locations.
